If you prefer to travel by air, the nearest airport is Sri Saibaba International Airport at Kakadi, located to the southwest of the town. Domestic flights from Mumbai, Indore, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata cater to Shirdi. Taxis and government AC buses are available outside the airport to take you to the Shirdi Bus Station from where you can walk to the temple. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Pune airport to Shirdi, which is the most economical option.

BY TRAIN

Sainagar Shirdi Railway station is the closest to Shirdi town, situated 3 km away from Sai Samadhi mandir. There are daily, weekly and bi-weekly trains from Mumbai, Pune, Vijayawada, Secunderabad, Chennai, Mysore (via Bangalore), Tirupathi, and New Delhi. There are also many trains to Kopergaon Railway station which is the oldest station near Shirdi, situated 16 km away from the Shirdi temple. Many buses, rickshaws, cabs ply from both these stations to the temple area.

If you live in Maharashtra, there are many private cabs, state transport and private buses available from Mumbai (242 km), Pune (187 km), Nashik (80 km), Aurangabad (130 km) and Nagpur. It’s a beautiful drive from any of these cities to Shirdi and takes around 5-7 hours to reach depending on the seasons and traffic on the roads. Those wishing to spend a little extra can book tickets in private air-conditioned buses.
