The word ‘Alaya’ means abode that’s why it is named ‘Prasadalaya’, which is a huge dining hall with a seating capacity of 5,500 people at a time, making it possible to feed Prasad to more than 100,00 devotees daily. The Prasadalaya is open from 10 am to 10 pm every day.
The food is first offered to Sai baba and then to the devotees. A meal is available for Rs 10/- There is also a separate hall for the people who cannot afford meals, at a time total of 150 people can have free food in the hall.

The food served here is vegetarian and in Maharashtrian style. It is a very simple, delicious, and hygienic food that tastes like homemade food. The food is cooked in the largest solar cooker and more than 100 people come here to make chapatis for an everyday meal.
