If you’re a group of Senior citizen travelling to Shirdi, it is very important to plan your trip well in advance and take safety measures before you travel.
While the most convenient option is to take a flight from Rajiv Gandhi International airport,
Take a State transport bus by APSRTC or Train from Secunderabad depending on your travel budget.

2 – TRAINS:
There are atleast 5 weekly trains from Hyderabad to Sai Nagar Shirdi. It takes between 12-14 hours to reach Shirdi. You can board the trains at either BEGAMPET(BMT), LINGAMPALLI(LPI) or SECUNDERABAD (SC).

Day 1: Arrival at Shirdi, Temple Darshans & Spiritual explorations
- Once you arrive at the railway station or airport begin your journey to Shridi.
- Take a taxi or car which takes between 1 to 2 hours to reach the Shirdi temple area

- Check-in your hotel room rest for a while and freshen up.
- You can head out to eat lunch at one of these popular restaurants:
- After lunch you can go to the most visited temple in Shirdi ‘Sai Baba Samadhi Temple’ by 3pm to receive Sai baba’s Darshan. You can enter the temple through the VIP Gate no 1 or 3 as senior citizens have free entry and can seek darshan in about 30 minutes.
- There are wheelchairs available for senior citizens which can be used during Darshan
- Once you are done with the darshan you can visit ‘Dwarkamai’ that is just outside the Sai baba Samadhi Mandir Gate. Dwarkamai Masjid is a popular tourist attraction as this is the place Sai baba spent his most time.
- Make sure to visit the famous Maruti temple, Hanuman and Laxmi temple in the near vicinity. Refer the Temple guide for your convenience
Day 2: Visit Shani Shingnapur temple & India’s first devotional Theme Park ‘Sai Teerth’
- Start your day early and have your breakfast in the hotel
- If you wake up as early as 4am, you can enjoy Sai Baba Darshan and Aarti for a spiritual experience
- After breakfast and temple visit, proceed to visit Shani Shingnapur temple (approximately 1.5 hours away) There are many taxi and cabs available on sharing and hiring basis
- Return to Shirdi by 4 or 5pm and relax that evening. Enjoy the tranquillity
- Later have your dinner as Thali at Rajdhani and sleep well at the hotel
Day 3: Breakfast at Shirdi & Visit Trimbakeshwar
- After breakfast day trip in Trimbakeshwar (180 kms/5 hours). Trimbakeshwar is an ancient Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the town of Trimbak .
- Return to Shirdi Hotel and make sure to visit India’s first and only Devotional Theme Park – ‘Saiteerth Devotional theme Park’ which is just 1km away from the Sai baba temple. Day 4: Return Journey to Shirdi & Back home
- After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to railway station or airport to proceed to your final destination.
